I’ve been fortunate over the years to meet some wonderful clients with their equally great horses. It’s been a few years since my shoot with a mare named Poppy, but I still have vivid memories of our time together. Her roan coat shone and reflected so brightly under the sun, I couldn’t get the thought out of my brain of how metallic silver she looked. A few years later, her gaze pulled me in and I played around with silver pigments to capture her again.

Metallic pigments are notoriously difficult to photograph, so colours and tones may vary from my monitor, to your monitor to as they are in life – but I promise she shines! 😉
